This cool little Oval window Beetle has been heavily modified into a seriously fast little street car. Ditching the original 1200cc engine in favour of a 2.3L scat stroker fed by a T04B turbocharger into a built 4 speed manual transmission. The paint and interior have all been redone and present very well. The bug sits nice and low over a set of Empi Speedwell wheels. This is a cool and very well presented little muscle car. Running a warm little 327ci V8 with automatic transmission, the car has been tastefully modified to be a very tidy street car. The interior is relatively stock and has all been retrimmed with extra bolster in the front seats and a quick shifter in the floor. This is a no expense spared full ground up custom build of an FJ Sedan. Detailed inside and out, the car would be at home with mirrors under it at any major show around the country. Extensive but subtle body modifications all round and coated in a silky smooth coat of metallic grey. Under the bonnet is a very tough fully built blown small block V8 paired to a built turbo 350 auto trans and 9” diff. Suspension is IFS front and caltracs in the rear. 1951 CHEVY STYLELINE, 216 STRAIGHT 6 CYLINDER, 3 SPEED MANUAL AND ON HYDROS. Super clean original car and typical Californian car that was imported and restored here in Australia. The engine and gearbox are original to the car but the owner has added the Fenton split headers and had an exhaust shop do the split system with glass packs for the raspy sound typical of lowrider bombs of the 50s. Suspension wise, the stock front end was retained and hydraulic rams fitted using cut down original springs. Platinum Trimming retrimmed the entire interior including headliner, carpet, seats and door trims. New seals were purchased from the US and new screens purchased locally and new glass installed.

Comes with original sales docs and some really interesting paper work. Had an exterior respray some time ago but all the paint in the door jams, engine bay, interior, dash ect is all original... the trim is also in amazing condition. Chrome and stainless is good, the cast metal parts show typical pitting of an unrestored car. Underneath it's in great condition and all the metal is in solid and what you see is what you get. Just a super cool survivor in a rad colour combo.

This is just a cracker of a car, one of those ones that almost don't make sense when someone has spent so much on it as it's had everything thrown at it and is just a lovely little matching numbers coupe. The paint on this car is very nice and the car has been pulled down to a shell in the body resto, it's straight and dry and was obviously just a very good surviving car prior to it's resto... then assembled with all new rubbers, weather stripes, chrome and new stainless. It's been restored mechanically and while i don't have all the restoration details the car was imported in 2011 as a restored car and still in amazing condition.
