Owned for approx 5 years by the current owner, in that time it has undergone a complete nut and bolt restoration, following Soda blasting, which fortunately revealed only minimal rust. All work completed by professionals, not a back yard job! Starts first time, every time!
Soda blasted inside and out, complete removal of the front end/clip
Minimal rust repairs and all panel and paint work completed by Mark Mackenzie from “Mild to Wild Custom restorations” on the Gold Coast.
All original chrome and stainless steel professionally restored by QLD chrome plating and Extreme metal polishing in Brisbane.
All new tail lights, lights and all plastics
Full Rare Spares replacement rubber kit including 1/4 glass window rubbers
Restored original rear window venetian blind
Brand new “Winners” fully original interior set. Front bench seat and door cards, kick panels, headlining, interior lights, everything brand new and polished or re chromed. Professionally fitted to re foamed/padded seats.
Brand new Knox Auto Carpets, black carpet.
Professionally restored original dash, with chrome surrounds and all new dash globes etc. Refurbished dash pad in left over winners black material to match interior
Brand new seat belt set. Inertia reel belts in the front and static belts in the rear
All new front and rear window glass
Professionally rebuilt LS1, ported heads, VCM 710 cam (232/234 @600 thou) Crow rocker trunnions, new water and oil pumps, 20% underdrive harmonic balancer, new starter motor and alternator, Ported and polished throttle body, Custom Dyno tune by ASG motorsport on the GC. 342HP at the wheels or 255kw. 400HP at the flywheel.
Good strong engine, with solid power though not ridiculous to drive and completely street able. Has run 12.56 over the ¼ mile at Willowbank. Complete VY Commodore computer and modified wiring harness to suit the conversion.
All wiring work completed by Ash from Wiring and tuning solutions. 4 into 1 headers and 2.5 inch exhaust system. Complete LS conversion kit by CAE Conversions and all mechanical work aside from the final tune and wiring was undertaken by “Spot on Performance” Probably the best performance shop in QLD.
Engine bay – Alloy rocker covers, braided hose throughout, polished alloy intake (K and N Filter) Bliss engineering custom billet hinges, under dash wiper motor, stainless bolts and caps used throughout, all wiring hidden.
Aussie Desert Cooler, Alloy radiator. Sits on perfect temperature even in QLD summer traffic.
Rebuilt Turbo 350, with stage two shift kit and 3500 rpm stall converter from the converter shop.
9 Inch (1440mm) with 3.55 Tru Trac gear set, 1350 Daytona pinion support and 1350 Yoke. 31 Spline billet axles, built by Geelong Differential Services.
300mm Hoppers Stoppers slotted and cross drilled front discs, operating extremely well through a rebuilt HG V8 brake booster. Rear brakes rebuilt HQ drums. New handbrake cabling and mechanisms throughout.
Completely rebuilt front end, by Suspension Dynamics. New 1 inch lowered kings springs and koni adjustable shocks all round. Rebuilt steering box
Rear suspension – Motorfab HKTG Rear suspension set up. Perfect hook up and handles extremely well.
Externally mounted Bosch fuel pump, delivering 98 octane fuel via all braided fuel lines. Fuel pressure regulator, in engine bay.
