This 2007 Saleen S331 S/C is a rare and limited edition supercharged V8 sports truck. The S331 is based on a Ford F-150 FX2 SuperCab that Saleen engineers took and remanufactured with improvements to the performance, handling and styling. This example is build number 382 of only 500 manufactured worldwide and was purchased new by the current owner out of Rochester Ford in Minnesota. He then imported the truck to Australia where it was converted to RHD by VDC in Melbourne.
Starting with the visuals, the Saleen S331 wears a completely unique bodykit which comprises of a front bumper, aluminium bonnet, grille, side skirts, tail gate and rear valance. The side skirts incorporate side exit exhausts in front of the rear wheels which give the truck a sweet rumble. The truck is based on a supercab and has rear opening doors to allow access for passengers into the rear seats. The truck is sits 2” lower than a factory F150 and rides on a set of optional unique Saleen 23×10” seven spoke chrome wheels which were recently fitted with new tyres.
Inside, the first thing you will notice is that the truck has been converted to right hand drive. The trim is Saleen specific with black and silver leather used throughout. A touch screen head unit in the dash provides tunes to Type R Alpine speakers. The tub in the rear is covered by a lockable roller cover. Creature comforts inside include leather trim, power windows, power mirrors, air conditioning, cruise control, remote central locking and self-dimming rear view mirror. The truck also has unique Saleen gauges in the dash along with two additional Saleen gauges to monitor Boost and Air Temp up on top of the dash.
Under the bonnet of the beast is a 5.4L SOHC Supercharged V8 engine that makes 450hp. The engine features a cleverly designed twin-screw supercharger that sits in the block valley of the Ford 5.4L V8. This truck has also been upgraded with aftermarket headers and exhaust as well as an aftermarket intake. The engine is paired to a four speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Power is fed to the rear wheels through a limited slip diff with 3.73 ratio. This truck has also been optioned from the factory with the Saleen 15” brake system and Class III tow package with hidden hitch.
This is a one owner truck and has only travelled 103,500 kms from new. The sale of the truck includes the original log books and Saleen window sticker/build sheet. This truck is being sold at NO RESERVE and will sell to the highest bidder at the end of the auction.
