This 2007 Saleen SC281 ticks all of the boxes for a high performance, low production, collector quality Mustang. A fantastic alternative to a Shelby, Saleen has been producing new high performance Mustangs since the early 2000’s. This car was number 568 of a total 2,288 Saleen Mustangs produced in 2007 with only 300 of these being Supercharged Coupes. From new, 10 of these cars (including this one) were imported into Australia and converted to RHD by Mustang’s Australia. The car has had two owners prior to coming to our showroom and has only travelled 28,000kms from new. The car is in a fantastic colour combo of Tungsten Grey with Black leather interior. The Saleen has a unique body kit and styling over a standard Mustang that not only looks great, but is instantly recognisable. The factory centre exit exhaust is a nice touch and the car sits on a set of original Saleen 20” chrome wheels.
Under the bonnet is a Saleen built, Supercharged, 4.6L 3V V8 engine with factory dual stage water to air intercooler. The engine is paired to a 5 speed automatic transmission. The car has Saleen performance suspension and big brakes all round. Inside there is a black leather interior to seat four people. The car is definitely more performance focused than built for luxury but some creature comforts include air conditioning, remote central locking, power drivers seat, tinted power windows, cruise control and reverse sensors. The car is completely factory in its current presentation and with low kms would make a great modern collector quality muscle car.
