This 1974 Ford Falcon XB GT Sedan has been fully rebuilt from a bare shell back to original specs. The car began life in June of 1974 and left the factory as a XB Falcon GT Sedan finished in Tropic Gold metallic with Brown cloth interior and running a 351ci Cleveland V8 engine with T-bar automatic transmission. The car was optioned with black vinyl roof, air conditioning, power steering, power windows, sports road wheels and colour keyed tu-tone hood.

The car was purchased by the current owners back in 2008 who then restored the car from a bare shell up over the next few years. The body of the car was fully repainted in its original colour back in 2010 along with a new vinyl roof fitted at the same time. The GT black outs were reapplied to the car and it wears all of the typical GT items you would expect. The car sits on a set of 15” Bathurst Globe style wheels which were refinished in 2010 and wrapped in red striped tyres.

The interior of the car has been fully refinished in black vinyl and cloth. The car is well optioned from factory with power windows, power steering and air conditioning. The air conditioning has just been regassed with a new compressor and receiver dryer fitted.

Under the bonnet lives the original matching numbers 351ci Cleveland V8 engine which has been fully rebuilt earlier this year and only just put back into the car. The engine received some mild upgrades and is still on run in oil. The engine is paired to a T-bar automatic transmission and power is fed to the rear wheels through a nine inch diff. The original brakes and suspension were rebuilt during the restoration.

Upon completion of the initial restoration, the car was driven from Adelaide to Brisbane for the GT Nationals in 2011. The owners then moved to QLD and drove the car from Brisbane to Bathurst for the GT nationals in 2013. The car has been inspected by ICAARS to confirm authenticity. The sale includes a large paperwork folder with receipts and history.
