This 1969 Holden HK GTS Bathurst Monaro has been through an extensive rotisserie restoration. The car was built in Sydney and said to be purchase new by Bruce Small (who was mayor of the Gold Coast during this time) The car remained in the Small family for some time eventually with Bruce’s brother Robert. The car underwent a full rotisserie restoration during the early 2000s to an extremely high standard. Lots of correct and NOS parts were used in the build and definitely favoured over anything reproduction. The car was sold to a collector in Melbourne approximately 6 years after the restoration. He kept the car in a climate controlled Carcoon to preserve the cars state. In 2015 the car was purchased by the current owner and brought back to Queensland. The car has always been well looked after and maintained. The car is presented in its original colour combination of Ermine white with Jacana interior (both of which were type 2 only colours). Under the bonnet is a fully rebuilt, 11/68 cast, 327ci V8 engine. The original date coded carburettor is not currently fitted to the car but has been fully refurbished and will come with the car. The engine is paired with the original 4 speed manual transmission. The car is fitted with power steering which makes it nice to drive. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a top of the tree ‘Bathurst’ HK Monaro.
