1960 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible
Cadillac is a name immediately associated with big American luxury cars and this 1960 Caddy convertible is no exception. These factory convertibles are rare cars now days and highly sought after classics. This particular vehicle was brought into the country to be used as a wedding car by a company on the Gold Coast in the 1970’s. One of the first things that you will notice is that the car has been converted to right hand drive. The current owner purchased this car off an older gentleman in Mackay who had owned the car for 24 years.
The car was repainted some time ago and presents well throughout. Likewise the chrome has been refinished and shines brightly. The big heavily chromed front end and the large tail fins are iconic features of a Cadillac of this era.
The car retains its original 390ci V8 engine and 4 speed automatic transmission which was refurbished during the previous owner’s tenure. The interior trim has been recovered in a two-tone scheme of white with deep red coloured inserts and new red carpets. The car has all of the usual Cadillac luxuries which includes power steering, power brakes, power windows and a power convertible top. The car sits on its original style steel wheels, hubcaps and new radial wide white wall tyres. A rare chance to own a right hand drive converted 1960 Cadillac convertible.
