This 1971 Ford Falcon XY ute has been upgraded both mechanically and cosmetically into a GT Replica ute. The body of the ute was professionally repainted in its original colour of Spring Frost by CJ Customs in Brisbane. With the repaint completed the car received GT spot lights, GT bonnet pins, Shaker hood, GT badges and stripes. There is a tonneau cover over the back of the tray and the ute sits down lowered over a set of 15” Simmons B45 wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich white letter tyres.

Inside the seats have been retrimmed in the original pattern in saddle. The dash has been swapped over to a GT/GS style with new gauges used. Likewise, there is a new reproduction GT/GS rim blow steering wheel. On the floor between the bucket seats is a B&M quick shifter. There is an aftermarket Pioneer stereo in the dash for tunes while cruising. Inside the back of the tub has been painted with a colour matched textured lining.

Under the bonnet now lives a 347ci Windsor V8 stroker. The engine is built using a stroked 302 block, alloy heads, Victor manifold and BG Demon carburettor. Spark is provided by an MSD digital 6 plus box and blaster high voltage coil. The front of the engine has a gilmer drive setup and alloy water pump. The engine is paired to a C4 automatic transmission with B&M quick shifter. Power is fed to the rear wheels through a nine inch diff with LSD centre. The engine is kept cool by a new alloy radiator with twin electric thermo fans. Fuel is supplied by an electric fuel pump.

These XY utes are always popular when we get them in and this one should be a bunch of fun for someone. The car is being offered at NO RESERVE and will sell to the high bidder come end of the auction.
