This 1967 Chevy Camaro has been through a ground up custom build into a tough pro-street style show car. The car was built by Red Hills Rods and Choppers in Saint George, Utah and sold to the current owner in 2012. The car was then imported to Australia under an import approval for exhibition purposes and has lived in Tasmania ever since being registered with Special Interest plates as a rally vehicle.

The car was completely stripped back to nothing for the rebuild. The outside of the car has been professionally repainted in gloss black with Satin red SS stripes. For a sinister look, the front and rear bumpers as well as the window surrounds have been blacked out. Satin black aftermarket door handles were used and LED tail lights with satin black surrounds. The fuel filler has been deleted off the back and moved onto the rear guard with a black race style filler. There is a small reverse cowl bonnet and one piece windows from a 68 model. The car sits down low over a set of massive 18 and 20” billet wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson Sportmans measuring 26×8” up front and 31×18” in the rear.

Open the door and you will find a full custom interior wrapped in leather and suede with red detailed stitching. Up front there are race style bucket seats with the rear seats deleted to make room for the massive wheel tubs, roll cage and stereo install which are all trimmed to match. The door cards custom moulded items, there is new carpets on the floor, carbon fibre A pillar trims and the headliner is covered in black suede. The dash houses a full set of Autometer Phantom series gauges. Front and centre there is a billet steering wheel mounted to a chrome tilt column. Between the front seats there is a TCI Outlaw ratchet shifter and switches for the power windows in a custom centre console. The car features a massive stereo with Alpine fold out screen, Orion six inch speakers in the kick panels, six inch splits in doors, a massive Orion HCCA 25001 amplifier mounted on cage and an Orion HCCA 12 inch competition subwoofer in custom box behind the front seats.

Open the bonnet and you will be greeted by a 572ci GM Performance big block V8. The engine features alloy heads, single plane manifold and Holley carburettor and is said to be good for 650 hp. The engine bay is well presented with billet hood hinged, March serpentine pulley kit, billet alternator and billet power steering pump. Keepings things cool is a big custom aluminium radiator with twin thermo fans. Exhaust gasses escape through Dynatech headers into custom twin exhaust which exits just before the rear wheels.

The engine is paired to a Turbo 400 automatic transmission and power is fed to the rear wheels through a Dan’s Driveline tailshaft into a fabricated sheet metal nine inch diff. The suspension up front has been converted to a Heidts Pro G front end with tubular A-arms, adjustable coil overs and rack and pinion power steering.  Full length chassis connectors stiffen the middle while the rear end is a full custom back half chassis with ladder bar rear end and Varishock adjustable coil overs.  The brakes have been completely upgraded with a Wilwood dual master cylinder and Wilwood disc brakes on all four corners. The battery has been relocated to boot which also houses the custom fuel cell.

There has been an incredible amount of time and money invested into turning this 67 Camaro into a pro-street style show stopper. The car is set up to be able to hold its own at the big car shows, run well down a drag strip or be an absolute blast at an event like Powercruise. This car is being offered at NO RESERVE and will sell to the highest bidder at the end of the auction.
