HIGHLIGHTS: – Restored with tasteful upgrades – 350ci Chevy V8 engine – Muncie four speed manual transmission – Air conditioning – Power disc brakes – Custom paint and interior – Power windows in front – 16“ polished American Racing wheels

This 1957 Chevy Bel Air two door post has been through a full restoration with some tasteful upgrades. The car comes to us from a large private collection but underwent its restoration at Marysville Speed n Custom in Washington State before spending five years in Arizona. The car was then purchased by an Australian importer who sold the Chevy to the current owner.

Starting with the body, the Chevy has been fully repainted in a custom dark metallic blue. The colour is modern and provides a nice contrast against the loads of chrome on these 57s. Outside of the colour, the car has been kept true to its original styling without any major body modifications. The car sits down low over a set of polished 16” American Racing wheels.

Inside the car received a custom interior in cream with bench seats front and rear and enough space for six people. The steering column has been upgraded to a tilt item with aftermarket wheel. There is a manual floor shifter poking up from the carpeted floor for an old school muscle car feeling. Smoked glass has been fitted all round and the front windows have been converted to power with switches that operate from the original cranks. For comfort the Chevy is fitted with air conditioning and there is an Audiosound radio for tunes while cruising.

Gone is the factory 283ci V8 with the car now upgraded to a more powerful 350ci V8 engine. The engine is paired to a four speed Muncie manual transmission which is floor shifter. Power is fed to the rear wheels through the factory diff. The brakes have been upgraded to power assisted discs up front with dual master cylinder and drums in the rear.

These Tri-five Chevys are iconic American classic cars and this one has been fully restored with some great upgrades.
