This 2012 Ford F150 SVT Raptor is an off-road beast! The truck was imported to Australia from new and converted over to right hand drive by Maracoonda Automotive in Queensland. These trucks are extremely well equipped from the factory but this one has been fitted with a bunch of upgrades to make it one of a kind.
The other side of the truck looks menacing, finished in Metallic black. As standard, the Raptor is 150mm wider than a standard F150 and this Raptor has an extra 150mm in widened guards to make it even bigger again. The flares and front bumper have both been colour coded to the body and the truck is lifted up 3 inches in the front to level it out. The wheels are 20 x 10” Monster wheels with 37” Mickey Thompson all terrain tyres. The truck has factory side steps and factory clearance lighting all round.
The truck is a super cab truck but the suicide rear doors open up for easy access to all five passengers. Creature comforts include leather seats, power and memory seats, auto headlights, cruise control, climate control, Sony stereo, front and rear cameras and factory power sunroof. There is a built-in trailer brake system and a throttle controller has been added to liven up throttle response. In the bed is all nicely lined and there is a removable vinyl tonneau cover. One of the coolest features is the step and handle that fold out of the tail gate for easy access in and out of the back.
Under the bonnet lives a 6.2L V8 engine that has been upgraded with a 2.9L Whipple supercharger that is currently making 450hp at the wheels. The engine is paired to an automatic transmission and extremely capable 4×4 system. These trucks were designed to compete in Baja racing so the suspension is incredible for a factory truck with external reservoir Fox shocks as standard. The front shocks have been upgraded to Icon external reservoir items when the front was lifted. A BDS vehicle levelling kit was also installed to ensure the steering could keep the correct geometry with the lift. The sound from the exhaust and the whine of the Whipple charger adds greatly to the overall experience.
These trucks are very hard to come by here in Australia and this one is with its second owner and has only travelled a low 67,703kms. You won’t see another like this one so make sure you register and bid if you want to own it!
