This 1984 Holden WB Statesman Caprice series 2 is a cool Aussie luxury cruiser. The Caprice was the flagship of GMH range and the WB series 2 was the last made. In its day, the car was the car of choice for Prime Ministers and luxury limousine companies.
The car you see here is a fantastic low milage example owned by an avid collector and enthusiast. The car has travelled a mere 104,000 kms in its 39 years and is sold with log books and full service history. The overall condition of the car is reflective of the low kms.
The body of the car is finished in factory white and features the typical Caprice items. The car has been lowered over a set of 17” CTM wheels and a sports exhaust to give it a “street cool” look but is otherwise 100% original. The factory Statesman alloy wheels are also included in the sale if you wanted to return it to an original look.
Inside the car has factory full leather trim in light tan and is packed with creature comforts. Luxuries include central locking, power windows, power steering and power brakes. The cabin is kept cool with cold air-conditioning and tinted windows.
Under the bonnet is the factory 308ci V8 engine. The engine is paired to the factory T-Bar automatic transmission which has recently had a full service. For a nice note out the back there is a set of extractors and a sports exhaust system. The factory “radial tuned suspension” has been upgraded with lowered Kings springs and Koni shock absorbers. The ball joints and bushes have also been replaced.
This is a neat example of a genuine low km, classic Aussie luxury cruiser. These cars don’t come up very often and when they do, they usually have hundreds of thousands of kms on them. This is your opportunity to own a great example of a usable and comfortable classic.
