1983 Chevy Suburban 9 seater Silverado wagon
REDUCED from $39,900 TO $36,900
This 83 Suburban 9 seater Silverado was imported into Australia and RHD converted in the early 90’s, i have photos of it and the bare metal respray it had before i got it along with brochures and sales info in a folder and it must have been a pretty big deal in its day and would have cost a small fortune… I have heard the Suburbans are quite rare and the conversion companies had to buy a RHD Silverado ute cab through GMH for the conversion and you can see a spare pick up cab in the back ground of the conversion proto with the firewall removed. Anywho, we bought the Suburban as a stock Mum and Dad car that had just been a family bus all it’s life down in Victoria, jacked up, shit wheels and no real style… Till we shipped it up to QLD and got it into the 782 garage… Now i got this truck cos from factory it’s a fully loaded and runs a 350 v8 with a 700R 4 speed automatic, we have lowered it and fitted air bags in the rear, it sits on new 18″ smoothie wheels, we also added the wood-grain panelling… You can drive this truck anywhere, super reliable, and has taken me and my family out to the Opal Mines and a few trips down to Sydney and back, hauled the hot rod to shows and everything in between… it’s super fun and is a genuine 9 seater with clip out rear seat, flat folding centre row and rolled out the factory with power windows, power tailgate, central locking, cruise control, special order 9 seater, deluxe interior, power steering, dual air con that works separately as two units, one in dash, one over head in the rear that’s recently had a couple of thousand spent on it to over haul the system and it’s ice cold, over riders, CD player, cup holders and massive long range 40 gallon/152L fuel tank.
