1977 Holden HZ GTS Sedan Survivor

This 1977 Holden HZ GTS sedan is a great example of a survivor quality Aussie Muscle car. The car was purchased by the current owner in Feb of 2018 out of Mackay. The previous owner is said to have purchased it from the original owner who was a salesman at the Holden dealer in Gympie, QLD and had put it up on blocks for 20 years. When the previous owner purchased the car, he did a complete overhaul of the original engine as well as draining and replacing all the fluids before reregistering it.
The body of the car remains largely original with the current owner telling us he believes it to be original paint work. The Palais White paint does show its age as you would expect of something almost 50 years old. Its hard to capture the detail in the pictures but you can choose your own adventure, leave the paintwork the way it is and drive it around as a survivor, or do an external repaint on the car and bring it back to its former glory. The car has the usual GTS items with front and rear spoiler plus optional headlight protectors and protector strip. The car sits on a set of restored GTS wheels with red striped tyres.
Inside the car is also presented in factory style black. The usual GTS trimming are in place with GTS dash, bucket seats, console and GTS wheel. Creature comforts include factory air conditioning, power steering and power brakes. The boot retains the original style rubber mat with GTS spare wheel.
Under the bonnet lives the original, matching numbers 308ci V8 engine which was fully reconditioned by the previous owner. The engine bay is well presented in factory style. The engine is paired to the factory M21 four-speed manual transmission. Power is fed to the rear wheels through the factory Salisbury 3.36 ratio rear end.
During its current ownership, the car has been stored in a climate controlled garage. The car has only travelled 93,604 kms from new and approximately 10,000 of that in the last 5 years of ownership. The sale of the car comes complete with the original log books, owners manual and broadcast sheet. The car has been independently inspected by ICAARS for Authenticity.
