This 1977 Holden Torana hatchback was built in Holden’s Melbourne plant. The car began life as a SL hatchback with an L32, 253 ci V8 engine and M20, four speed manual transmission. The car comes to us from a private collection and was restored some time ago as an SS tribute with the wide body A9X style flares that everyone loves. The car is painted a striking blue colour which contrasts well against the black outs. The guards are filled with a set of 15” hotwire wheels.
Open the door and you will find a fully restored interior in Chamois. The carpets were replaced as was the door cards and trim on all of the seats. There is an aftermarket Sony stereo system for tunes when cruising.
The old 253 is gone from under the bonnet and has been replaced with a freshly rebuilt 308 ci V8 engine in 2019. The engine is paired to a four speed manual transmission as the car was from factory. The steering is rack and pinion and there are power assisted brakes with discs up front.
These Torana Hatches are always popular and this has the look everyone is wanting in a cool colour with big flares.
