This 1973 Ford XA GT Falcon sedan is a one of one in its factory specifications and has been fully restored. According to the tags, the car began life at Ford’s Broadmeadows plant in Victoria, rolling off the line in September of 1973. The car was a JG33 code GT Sedan finished in code 8 Cosmic Blue paint with code W white vinyl interior. The car was fitted with a T Code 351ci Cleveland 4V V8 engine paired to a L code four speed manual transmission. The car left the factory with a number of options including Windback sunroof, tintband windscreen, retractable seat belts, eight track tape player and front and rear spoilers. The car is believed to have been rebodied at some stage in the 90s before under going a full restoration in the 2000s. The car was purchased by the current owner as an unfinished project two years ago and has finished the car during his ownership.

Starting with the body, the car has been stripped right back and professionally repainted in its original colour of Cosmo Blue. With the car painted, the GT black outs and decals were reapplied. The car has the typical GT features including front grille, spot lights, fluted bonnet, bonnet pins, front and rear spoilers. The car sits over a set of 15” Bathurst Globe wheels wrapped in red striped tyres.

Inside the car has been retrimmed back to factory in White vinyl. The seats front and rear as well as the door trims have all been replaced with factory style white vinyl. The carpets on the floors have been replaced as has the headlining up above. A GT dash and wheel are up front with a centre console splitting the bucket seats. The whole cabin feels light inside thanks for the trim colour and optional wind back Golde sunroof overhead.

Under the bonnet lives a genuine JG33 Stamped GT 351ci four dot big port V8 engine. The engine was pulled apart two years ago for a top end rebuild by Price Racing Engines in Newcastle, receiving a new cam, new timing chain and heads rebuilt with new valves to suit unleaded fuel. The engine is paired to a correct date coded, four speed Top loader manual transmission and power is fed to the rear wheels through the factory nine inch diff. The car was recently driven from Queensland to Goulburn and back for the 2023 GT Falcon Nationals which is a testament to its reliability.

The car come with an ACCHS Report to confirm its original factory specification in which it is one of one ever built. These XA GT Falcons are always popular and this one is finished in a fantastic colour combo with some great options.
