1971 FORD MACH 1 MUSTANG FASTBACK

This is an incredible example of a nicely restored 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1. These Mach 1’s have come into their own in the last few years quickly growing in collectability. This car has undergone an extensive rebuild. During the body restoration, the underside received a rust proof lining to the floor pans, inner guards, and boot area. The metallic pewter coloured paintwork on the car is of a very high standard and the panels are straight and true with good gap all round. The correct Mach 1 vented bonnet, side stripes and front and rear spoilers remain in place. The car sits on a set of Magnum style wheels with white lettered tyres.

Open the door and you will reveal the black interior which is in extremely good condition all round. Creature comforts include power steering and power disc brakes. The woodgrain style trim on the doors adds a touch of luxury and is all in very good condition. Again, the interior is completely factory in its presentation.

Under the bonnet is a 351 ci V8 engine with 4V heads and a Holley Carb. The engine is paired to a C6 automatic transmission. Both the engine and transmission were rebuilt to factory specifications. Feeding the power to the rear wheels is a Ford 9” diff. The engine bay is extremely well presented back to a completely factory look with high attention to detail.

This is an awesome example of a nicely restored genuine Mach 1 1971 Ford Mustang. These cars don’t come up very often and this is one of the best examples we have seen.
