This 1974 Dodge Charger SE is a left of centre American muscle car that has been restored and upgraded. The Charger’s made a name for themselves in the earlier B-Body cars but for the third generation of cars, Dodge transitioned to the model from hard out muscle more toward a personal luxury car. The SE was introduced from the 1971 year as the top luxury specification in the Charger model line up. This particular example has been though a restoration with a mild custom twist.
The body of car has been stripped back and fully repainted in Black Cherry Metallic. You might note the semi-formal vinyl roof with slats for the windows that wasn’t used on other Charger models. The front bumper has been colour coded with period style front spoiler, go wing on the boot, R/T stripes and power bulge hood to bring back more of the muscle car look. We have to say as far as this shape Charger goes, it would have to be one of the best looking ones around. In keeping with this theme, the car sits low over a set of Rally style wheels with white lettered tyres.
Inside the car has been fully retrimmed with an all new black interior from Legendary Interiors. It features Rally dash with tachometer and gauges and has the rare power window option. The front bucket seats are split by a full length console that houses the automatic shifter. For tunes while cruising there is a hidden audio player in glove box with CD and iPod hook-up.
Under the bonnet lives a neatly detailed 318ci V8 engine that has been upgraded with an Edelbrock RPM Performer intake and 650 cfm carburettor. The engine is paired to a three-speed automatic transmission and power is fed to the rear wheels through the factory differential.
This would have to be one of nicest third generation Chargers around and is being offered for sale at NO RESERVE. The car will be sold to the highest bidder come end of the auction!
