This 1970 Holden HG Premier wagon has undergone a full ground up nut and bolt rebuild. Restored over 3 years on a Rotisserie, the car has only travelled approximately 1500kms since completion. The wagon as purchased as a roller with a good honest body. The car was stripped down and sent away for sand blasting where the car was placed on a rotisserie. This exposed rust present in the usual areas which were all properly repaired before the shell was epoxy primed and sent to All Race Fabrications for the next step. It was here that the mini tubs were installed to make room for some big tyres under the back and the brand new 9” diff with true-trac centre running 3.9 gears and 31 spline axles was installed. The panels were hung back on the car and gapped and tweaked before heading off to be painted in a custom metallic grey. The body remains factory standard outside other than the mini tubs and reverse cowl bonnet to provide clearance for the engine underneath. The car sits low over a set of Simmons wheels.

With the car apart for paint, every single nut, bolt, clip, rubber and piece of glass was either replaced with new items or restored. The Badges are all new and the grill was fully restored and anodised.

All of the brake and suspension components were restored or replaced with new items. The brakes were upgraded with HQ items all round and the booster was reconditioned and pairs to a Wilwood master cylinder. The interior was also completely refinished to a show quality standard. The shell itself was painted internally in Red before all of the soft materials being recovered in the same colour. The trim is relatively factory looking but does have a retro sounds stereo system with speakers neatly hidden through the car and amplifier and sub hidden under the rear floor. The seats and door trims received the correct Premier pattern trim and there is a floor mounted pod holding three Autometer gauges directly in front of the TCR quick shifter.

Under the bonnet is a 5.7L LS V8 engine built by Trevor Frost. The engine was shoe horned into the bay using a Rod Shop full LS conversion kit which includes pipes, cross member, mounts and sump. The engine itself received 10.7 comp pistons, new rods, cathedral port heads heavily ported with large valves, a mild cam, super victor manifold and 750 Double Pumper Quick Fuel carburettor. The spark is handled using an MSD control box. The engine bay is extremely well presented and tidy, the wiring is hidden where ever possible, the inner guards and firewall are beautifully painted and the engine itself is nicely dressed. The coils are hidden under custom rocker covers that the builder told us cost him $1000 alone. The engine is paired to a manualised Powerglide transmission with TCE 4200 Hi Stall converter and B&M cooler. The car was started for the first time at Addicted Performance where is made 413hp at the wheels.
