This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle has been fully restored and neatly upgraded into a tough cruiser. The 70 Chevelle is an iconic American muscle car and you will struggle to find a better example than this one.

The car was fully restored with the body being stripped back and professionally repainted in Cortez Silver with Black SS Stripes. The black vinyl roof has been replaced as has the chrome and stainless trim. There is a working cowl induction hood with bonnet pins. Other accessories include front bumper guards and SS emblems. The look externally is completed with the car sitting down low over a set of US Mag chrome wheels measuring 17” up front and 18” in the rear and wrapped in Nitto tyres.

The interior of the car has also been complete refinished in a factory style. The dash and gauges have been restored with the factory clock rebuilt with quartz movement. Front and centre is a spoked SS wheel fixed to a tilt column with Chevy horn cap. Between the front buckets is a factory console with staple automatic shifter.

Lift the bonnet and you are greeted by a ZZ502 GM performance crate engine with less than 1500 miles. The engine build features a hydraulic roller cam, 1.7 roller rockers with Jomar stud girdle, custom ground Comp cam, Comp Cams retrofit hydraulic lifters with link bars, high performance oil pump, performance push rods and is topped with a port matched intake and Quickfuel 850 cfm Carburettor. Spark is provided by a MSD 6AL ignition box with MSD blaster SS coil. The engine bay is very well presented and made to look almost factory with custom aluminium powder coated valve covers. There is also a Moroso remote breather tank with AN-12 lines. Exhaust gasses escape through Hooker Super comp ceramic coated heaters into a 3.5” Flowmaster dual exhaust with crossover and Flowmaster 40 mufflers.

The engine is paired to a GM Turbo 400 automatic transmission that has been upgraded with a Gear Vendors overdrive for nice highway cruising. An ATI performance torque converter was used and the wheels are turned by the 3.73 ratio Posi Track rear end with Moser Performance 35 spline axles, Perfect Launch girdle and 9 inch housing ends. The suspension has been upgraded using 2.5” drop spindles and HYB gas shocks up front with adjustable rear control arms and QA1 shocks out back. The brakes didn’t miss out either being power boosted four-wheel discs.

The build quality and presentation of the car has been completed to a very high standard. These 70 Chevelles are iconic American Muscle cars and this one has some fantastic upgrades and plenty of ponies packed under the hood. If you’re looking for a rad American muscle cars and want something a little different to the usual Camaros and Mustangs it might be time to clear some space in the garage.
