1969 Chevy Camaro Big Block

HIGHLIGHTS: – Desirable ’69 Camaro – Professionally repainted – Front and rear spoilers – Cowl induction hood – 454ci Big Block V8 engine – Turbo 400 Automatic transmission – Power steering – Power disc brake front – Rally wheels with new white letter tyres

This 1969 Chevy Camaro has is a fully restored example of one of the most iconic American Muscle cars of all time. The ’69 model was the last year of the first generation cars and arguably the most desirable of the early Camaros. The car was restored 5 years ago and has only travelled approximately 4000 miles since completion.

The body of the car was stripped and fully repainted in Daytona Yellow. The body of the car features a cowl induction hood, front and rear spoilers as well as a D90 hockey stripe and SS 427 badging. The chrome bumpers have both been refinished. The look of the car is completed externally with a set of Rally wheels with new Galaxy TA white lettered tyres.

Inside the car has been neatly retrimmed in its factory black standard interior. The front bucket seats are split by the standard console which houses the iconic ‘Staple’ or ‘Horse shoe’ automatic shifter. The standard style steering wheel remains in place with a SAAS monster tacho mounted to the steering column. While the original radio remains in place in the dash, it is not connected instead tunes are provided by a Pioneer deck in glove box and aftermarket rear speakers. Creature comforted include power steering and power brakes with discs up front and drums in the rear.

Under the bonnet lives a 454ci Big Block Chevy V8 engine. The engine is stickered as a 427 as is the rest of the car because that would be more period correct for 1969 but the engine itself measures 454ci. The engine features an Edelbrock intake manifold and Holley 750 carburettor. The engine is paired to a Turbo 400 automatic transmission and power is fed to the rear wheels through a GM 10 bolt diff. The engine bay itself is presented in a factory style and is neat and tidy.

These 69 Camaros can be hard to decode from the factory however while this car is neatly restored as a big block with SS gear, we don’t believe it to have left the factory as either. Either way, a ’69 Camaro is a bad ass and iconic American Muscle car, and this one being neatly restored with a big block under the hood would certainly make for a sweet ride!
