This 1966 Ford Falcon XP Coupe has been through an extensive build into a tough street car. This car has a massive amount of time and money put into it and is a burger with the works.
Starting with the body, the car was stripped back and fully repainted in Tangerine Candy Pearl. The chrome on the car was also refinished or replaced. While the outside of the car was kept relatively true to original, most of the custom work happened underneath the car with the rear of the car tubbed to suit big rear wheels, a flat floor and enlarged trans tunnel. Finishing the look on the outside, the car sits nice and low over a set of 15” polished Weld Pro star wheels.
Inside the car received a full custom leather interior with all new carpets, door lining, door trims and dash. The front seats are electric late model Monaro seats with head rests removed and retrimmed in leather. The gauges are Autometer items in a polished cluster, there is a Lokar shifter on the floor and a chrome steering column with billet style wheel. Keeping things comfortable is an aftermarket under dash air conditioning system.
Pop the bonnet and you will find a stout 427ci Windsor V8 engine built from a World Products Man-o-War block. The engine features a larger hydraulic comp cam and lifters as well as a Holley Sniper fuel injection setup. There is a new set of extractors and full exhaust systems by Fat Pipes. The engine is paired to a C4 automatic transmission with 3500 stall converter and Gear Vendors overdrive. Power is fed to the rear wheels through a nine inch diff with 3.5 ratio gears and True Trac centre. With this setup, the car makes around 400rwhp and has previously run a low 11 sec quarter mile.
With all those extra ponys, it was important the car could stop and steer well too. The front suspension has been upgraded to RRS front struts with lowered springs fitted in the rear. Steering has been converted to a power steering rack with electric pump. The brakes have also been upgraded to feature RRS HO2 disc brakes up front with a disc brake conversion fitted to the rear.
Since the car has been completed it has only travelled around 2,500 kms. This car is an absolute burger with the works and has been fitted with everything you could ever want in a tough street car. This one is already blowing up the internet and will definitely be popular so ensure you register to bid if you can see it parked in your garage.
