1967 Holden HR ute

This 1967 Holden HR ute has been neatly restored and tastefully upgraded. The Holden ute is an Aussie Icon and this one is way cooler than most of the ones you see around.
The car was initially restored by the previous owner a number of years ago. Last year, the car was professionally repainted in Holden Phantom metallic black. The chrome and trim on the car was all in good shape so it was retained with a set of Crystal style headlights fitted up front. There is a tonneau cover over the back neatly fitted with press studs. To complete the look, the car sits lowered over a set of 15” Black Boyd Coddington Bristol wheels with red striped tyres.
The inside of the car has also been fully refinished. A pair of aftermarket bucket seats sit down low in the cab with the manual floor shift poking up between them. The floor received insulation before being covered in new carpets while the doors got new door cards and a new headlining was fitted up top. A pair of aftermarket gauges are mounted under the dash to keep an eye on what’s happening under the bonnet. In the back, the tub is neatly covered with a spray in liner.
Under the bonnet lives a 202ci Holden 6cyl engine which was previously rebuilt and received a freshen up with all new gaskets last year. The engine bay is exceptionally well detailed with the block neatly painted and lots of chrome accents. The wiring is all hidden where possible and the engine itself has been upgraded with a mild cam and 350 cfm Holley Carb. The engine is paired to a five speed, floor shifted manual transmission sourced from a Toyota. Exhaust gasses are expelled through extractors into a custom exhaust. The factory disc brakes have been rebuilt and the car sits lower thanks to 2 inch lowered springs all round.
This would have to be one of the coolest examples of a tastefully modified HR Holden ute we have seen. These make great little classic cruisers, be sure to register and bid if you would like to see this one parked in your garage
