1966 Ford Fairlane convertible

This 1966 Ford Fairlane Convertible is a great classic American cruiser. The car went through a mild restoration in the states before being bought out to Australia back to factory specifications. The body of the car was repainted in the original colour some time ago. While the paintwork presents well it would be described as driver quality rather than a full-blown show job. The bright work on the outside of the car is mostly original but presents well with the rear chrome bumper having been replaced. There is a new white convertible top which is power operated and a tonneau cover to match the interior trim to cover it up neatly when it’s laid down. The car sits on a set of factory style wheels with wire spoke hubcaps and thin white wall tyres.
Inside the trim is mostly original in configuration with bench seats front and rear as well as all original dash. The car retains its original Left hand drive configuration. The vinyl on the door cards and the seats have no rips or tears and are generally in good condition with the original carpets showing discolouration from sitting in the sun with the top down.
Under the bonnet is the factory 289ci V8 engine which is paired to an automatic transmission. Power steering helps to improve the driving experience. The brakes are not power assisted and there is drums all round but they are well adjusted and pull the car up nicely.
This car is being offered at NO RESERVE and would make a very nice, affordable classic convertible. There is nothing in this world as cool as dropping the top of a classic American cruiser on a nice summers evening and going for a cruise with your friends and family.
