This 1965 Chevy SS Impala Coupe has been completely rebuilt into a crazy custom lowrider. This car is an iconic representation of the “over the top” style L.A Lowrider lifestyle. The car has been customised in almost every way possible with nothing left untouched. The car was build in approximately 2014 by Gaberiel Mijares who was the founder of Socio’s Lowrider Club in the USA. The car was imported into Australia in 2020 where it has lived since.

Starting with the body, the car retains its original body lines but has been completely coated in a one-off custom paint job featuring patterns, fades and candy effects. The paintwork is a visual masterpiece but has been used and driven so there are some imperfections and chips around it to note up close. The chrome was all refinished during the build with some engraving present on the door handles and tail light surrounds. The quarter windows also have etched glass engraving in them. The patterned paint job extends to the inner wheel wells and chassis rails. To continue its theme the doors have been converted to Lamborghini style vertical doors, the bonnet opens backwards and the boot opens on a tilt lift actuator. The headlights have blue halo LED’s in them and there is LED lighting fitted underneath and throughout the car. To complete the look the car sits on a set of 13” 100 spoke wire wheels with knock offs to match the paint.

The interior of the car has been completely retrimmed in blue and pink with custom stitch patterns to match the exterior of the car. The SS bucket seats, door trims and head liner are all custom stitched. The centre console houses the manual shifter with dice gear knob. A trio of gauges under the dash help to keep and eye on what’s happening under the hood. The dash and parcel tray are both painted in patterns to match the exterior of the car. Over head there is a aftermarket sunroof to lets some light in. The boot is decked out like the interior and shows off the two pump, four battery hydraulic set up. There is a full sound system in the car to keep the beats bumping with Bluetooth connectivity.

Under the bonnet is a chevy 350ci V8 engine. The engine bay features engraved and chromed rocker covers and custom air cleaner. The engine is paired to a four speed Muncie manual transmission. Power is fed to the rear wheels through a 10 bolt diff. The driving experience is enhanced with power steering. The undercarriage of the car was fully detailed during the build and features chrome suspension arms, chrome diff, chrome drum brakes and gloss painted floor pans with chrome bracing and patterns in the inner guards and chassis rails. Again the car has been driven rather than being used as a show car so there are a few scrapes on the underside but it’s impressive in general.

This is a rare opportunity to purchase a legit L.A built Lowrider that is really a rolling work of art. This car was purchased by Classic for a Cause in our December auction who raffled the car off to raise money for Aussie Veterans. The winner of the auction chose the cash option rather than the car so the boys at Classics for a Cause have instructed us to run the car at NO RESERVE! The highest bidder will own this awesome Lowrider at the end of the auction!
