1963 Buick Riviera Hardtop, 401 cube Nailhead V8, console shift, twin turbine automatic transmission, power steering, power seat, air conditioning, power windows and power brakes using Buick’s massive aluminium finned 12” drums. Body is very straight with great paint. Inside, the Riviera features a four-seater cabin with front bucket seats and bucket-style seats in the rear, a centre console with floor shifter and storage compartment built into the instrument panel divides the front. A deluxe interior option was available on the Riviera which included real walnut inserts on the doors and below the rear side windows, there were also extra-cost options available including a tilt steering wheel, power windows, power driver’s seat, air conditioning, a remote-controlled side view mirror and this car was optioned with all of them.
The Buick has been lowered and sits on American Racing wheels… 1963 was the first year of the Riviera and total production was deliberately limited by Buick to 40,000 vehicles to emphasise the Riviera’s exclusivity and to increase demand.
