1961 Buick LeSabre Convertible For $65,000
1961 saw a whole new design for the Buick LeSabre and most cars for 61, Buick dropped the fins from the rear end but still retained some styling ques from the jet era giving them a really stream lined body before everything started to square up in the coming years…
For a driveline this LeSabre got the 364 V8 with a mandatory two-speed Turbine Drive Dynaflow floor shift automatic transmission stuck through a console between the bucket seats… A power top keeps the up and down simple and the interior has been retrimmed to compliment the exteriors Desert Fawn duco… Then with all that styling right, like any car, there’s little left to do other than put it on cool wheels and give it some stance…Air bagged suspension and the fat whitewalls and caps cover that. All in all this is a very nice and tidy cruiser, the trunk has been fitted out and trimmed to suit the rest of the trim, power top works well and has been reconditioned and painted at some point and a new roof…with a zip out back plastic window.
