This 1960 Chevy Impala pillarless coupe has been neatly upgraded into a cool restomod cruiser. The pillarless coupe is one of the most desirable body styles for 1960 with big open side windows and thin pillars front and rear for fantastic visibility. The car is a nice solid example that is finished in a factory two-tone White with black roof and side flash. The chrome around the car is in good condition for a car of its age. Some period accessories really set off the look with fender skirts, port hole mouldings, chrome half moon headlight covers, twin antennas and the king of Impala accessories, the continental kit. The car is lowered down using king springs and sits on a set of new 14” 100 spoke wire wheels with white wall tyres and tri bar knock offs.

The interior styling of these 50s and 60s chevy’s was so cool that you don’t need to change anything. The timeless black and white colour scheme continues inside with the factory pattern seats and door trims in black and white with houndstooth inserts. The 60 Impala dash and gauge cluster is among one of the best to ever be put in a car from a styling perspective. Bench seats front and rear allow seating for six with a factory steering wheel front and centre and column shifted auto. There is a vintage look digital radio for some tunes while cruising. Inside the boot has need neatly fitted out with black carpets.

While its all classic looks from the outside, under the bonnet is a different story. Gone is the old 283 small block and living in its place is a 5.7L LS1 fuel injected V8. The LS platform provides such a great mix of performance, fuel economy and reliability that you just cant get out of an old carby V8. The engine is paired to a 4L60E, four speed automatic transmission. The suspension is lowered and the brakes are power assisted drums all round.

This ’60 Impala coupe is a super cool cruiser with some great mechanic upgrades to bring it out of the 60s and into the present.
