This 1957 Chevy Belair sedan is an iconic American classic cruiser. The car was purchased six years ago by the current owner as it was being imported from California to Australia.
The car went through a restoration in California prior to coming over with the body of the car being repainted in the iconic colour combination of Turquoise with a white roof. The car is a four door sedan but left the factory as the top of the line ‘Bel Air’ trim level. The car sits down low over a set of original style steel wheels and hubcaps wrapped in wide white wall tyres.
The interior of the car is finished back to a factory look with the iconic Bel Air ‘cloud print’ fabric. The car retains it original left hand driving position with original steering wheel in place. The car has bench seats front and rear with seating for six passengers. Inside the boot retains the original style rubber floor mat with original style spare wheel in place.
Under the bonnet lives a 283ci V8 engine which has been upgraded with a new oil pump and new Holley four-barrel carburettor. The engine is paired to a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. Power is fed to the rear wheels through the factory differential. There is a new dual exhaust system with Lukey mufflers for a nice sound out the back. The brakes are the original drums which recently received new shoes, wheel cylinders and hoses.
