1932 Ford Roadster Pick Up for sale
It’s no secret that this gorgeous 1932 Ford Roadster pick up is a change of pace compared to most of the stock we sell. But who can resist the pull of a 32 Ford fully rebuilt to such an amazing level in one of the rarest body styles ever produced. They only built 593 original Roadster Pick ups in 1932 and today they are almost non existant. This absolute show piece is built using a brand new all steel body that underwent a full nut and bolt restoration in 2014 by Gerald and Sons Restorations of Nappanee in Indiana. Every single piece of this car is either new or refurbished to the highest possible standard. Following its restoration, the car was sold at Mecum Auctions in 2014 for $60,000 USD to its current Australian owner.
The car runs the correct type flathead incline 4 cyl engine that was rebuild by Antique Engine rebuilding of Skokie in Illinois, highly regarded as one of the best in the world. The engine is paired to a 3 speed floor shifted manual transmission. The engine bay and undercarriage are both detailed to a show standard.
The body itself is a brand new all steel item and absolutely perfect in presentation. The paintwork on the car is beautifully finished in a stunning Red with Black guards. The car has dual side mounted spares and the yellow painted wire wheels with wide white wall tyres make for a great contrast against the body colour. The chrome front and rear bumpers have all been refinished and shine like mirrors.
The interior is as nice as the exterior with all new black trim. The dash is perfectly painted with refurbished instrumentation. The carpets have all been replaced and the convertible top is a black cloth style with all new bows and hardware. The bed features all new timber throughout and the wind windows feature gorgeous etched glass.
The 1932 Ford is one of the most iconic vintage vehicles ever built and this example, rebuilt in a very rare body style, restored to a concourse standard, is about as good as it gets. Everyone who sees this car absolutely falls in love with it and if you come and inspect it in person you will easily see why. Purchase and keep as an investment, display as a museum piece or just go cruising on the weekend.
