1983 Chevy Suburban 9 seater Silverado wagon
The Canyonaro… my adventure bus! This 83 Suburban was imported into Australia and RHD converted in the early 90’s, i have photos of it and the bare metal respray it had before i got it along with brochures and sales info in a folder. We bought it as a stock Mum and Dad car and turned it into what it is… From factory it’s a fully loaded truck that runs a 350 v8 with a 700R 4 speed automatic, we have lowered it with drop spindles on the front and a C notched rear end with air bags and sits on new 18″ smoothie wheels, we also added the wood-grain panelling… You can drive this truck anywhere, super reliable, and has taken me and my family out to the Opal Mines and a few trips down to Sydney and back and everything in between… it’s super fun and is a genuine 9 seater with clip out rear seat, flat folding center row and rolled out the factory with power windows, power tailgate, central locking, cruise control, special order 9 seater, deluxe interior, power steering, dual air con that works separately as two units, one in dash, one over head in the rear that’s recently had a couple of thousand spent on it, over riders, CD player, cup holders and 40 gallon, 152L fuel tank… I love having a truck around like this and it’s been my adventure bus for some time. I have a Chevy van that i’ve left in America for the last 6 years but with importing quieting down i’m bringing it home, i’ve done 24 States of America in that van and it will become my adventure bus for here in Australia once it arrives… We have family coming out from America this December so the 9 seater option will make it our traveller for the holidays but the big Suburban will be retired of it’s duties just after Christmas and will go on the market.
