1966 Ford Mustang Convertible RHD

This 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible has been through an extensive rotisserie restoration with some fantastic upgrades. The car was taken to Ol’ School Garage in Brisbane for some repairs which on the discovery of more rust than initially expected, escalated into a full rotisserie restoration. The car was stripped back to a bare shell and sand blasted. Any necessary repairs were completed which included, floors, sils and quarters. With the car on a rotisserie, it was all seam sealed, gapped and painted in Gloss black. The paint and body have been completed to a very high standard, the car is glossy, well gapped all round and laser straight. Every single piece of chrome on the outside of the car was all replaced or refinished. Externally the car received a set of chrome 18” American Racing Torq Thurst style wheels.

Inside the car was completely retrimmed in a factory style in Parchment colour. The most obvious modification inside is the steering wheel sitting on the right hand side of the car. The carpets were replaced and the dash perfectly painted. The gauges are all new and there is a retrosounds Bluetooth headunit in the dash with speakers neatly mounted. The black convertible top was all replaced during the restoration and includes a two piece glass rear window. Again, the interior is finished to an extremely high standard.

Starting life as a T code, the car now houses a brand new Pavtek 347ci Windsor V8 engine under the bonnet which was purchased in 2017 with receipts for over $14,500 for the engine alone. The engine includes an Edelbrock intake, Holley carb and ICE ignition setup. The engine is paired to a new C4 automatic transmission with T-bar floor shifter. Creature comforts include power steering and power brakes with a disc brake front end. Rarely does the opportunity arise to own a fully restored, high quality, right hand drive, Mustang convertible, and they don’t come much better than this!
